Do I need an appointment ?
No, it is a walk in service.
What is the electronic/digital fingerprinting process ?
This process is non conventional where we process the application on computer and then capture the fingerprints on the fingerprinting scanner and send the application electronically or digitally via secure link directly to RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System (CCRTIS). Then RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System (CCRTIS) process the application send the results to the individual or 3rd party as mentioned in the application.
What is Certified Criminal Background Check ?
The criminal background Check done by name, date of birth and fingerprints and processed through RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records is a certified criminal background check.
What is Criminal Background Check “Not Certified” ?
The criminal background check done without fingerprinting basis is not certified and done by name and date of birth search only.
What is the processing time ?
When the fingerprints are electronically submitted to RCMP then RCMP Process the application send the results in 3 business days through a regular mail if no match to an RCMP fingerprint criminal holding. But when there is a match to a RCMP criminal holding processing times can take up to or exceed 120 days
How do I verify the status of my application ?
If your application has taken longer than the times indicated and you require an update on the status of your application, please email RCMP at firstname.lastname@example.org providing ONLY the following information:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Type of application you submitted – ( Criminal Record Check)
- Date your application was submitted to the RCMP
- Daytime phone number where you can be reached on weekdays
then RCMP will respond to your email.
Do you also provide trditional ink based fingerprints ?
Yes we do provide traditional ink based fingerprints if it requested or individual have requirement for ink and roll fingerprints.
Does my fingerprints stays on a file with RCMP ?
After 90 days, the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services destroys fingerprint submissions relative to civil screening (including vulnerable sector checks) when the search process is completed. The fingerprints are not added to the RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records and are not searched for future purposes.
You are not one of the 05 companies listed RCMP website ?
We are RCMP accerdited company and affiliate of Clearneed. Clearneed name is mentioned on RCMP Website and Canadian Fingerprinting Services Inc is on the affiliate list of Clearneed Information Systems Inc and authorised to carry out Electronic fingerprinting submission to RCMP.
How long Certified Criminal Record check valid for ?
The period of validity depends on the agency requesting the certified criminal record check. Each agency has it’s own procedures, requirements and rules.
My spouse received his/her certified criminal record check, but I did not receive mine. Why ?
Although the applications may have been submitted at the same time, each one is processed individually and may not be completed or mailed on the same date.

How fast I can get the results for criminal background check / CPIC / Police Clearance letter ?
We can provide you the Original criminal background check / CPIC / Police Clearance letter in 3 to 4 hrs.
Would it be Original certificate ?
Yes that would be a original certificate with the embossed seal of a police service.
Can you provide us a Criminal background for Vulnerable Sector check ?
No, for Vulnerable Sector (VS) check you have to go to you local police where you live, no other police services can provide you the check. For example if you live in Toronto then only Toronto Police Services headquarters at 40 College street can provide you the check.
What is the validity of Criminal Background Check ?
The period of validity depends on the agency or organisation or company requesting the certified criminal record check. Each agency or organisation or company has it’s own procedures, requirements and rules. For some it should not more the 3 months or 6 months or one year, generally most of the organisations looks for less then 6 months.
